Thanks Elaine. Well we did get a variety of ideas and edits. Your edits are on the popular side to limit the details/distractions behind the ice. |

Thank you Judy. How fitting as my twirls are almost as frequent as your stair creatives. You did an excellent job with the twirl but you lose points on originality.

Thanks for all the praise and suggestions. I find Karen's background to be the best looking. It brings out the textures and tones in the subject area of the ice. Bob W , I'm not "warming" up to your edits here. I believe that the reduced dark tones and definition of the subject "Big Foot" is difficult to see. My intent was to show the work that Nature makes with ice and your edits do that but with a faster shutter speed. Now we wait for Judy to come in and make creative stairs of it. :) |

An excellent use of that Solarization effect. I've tried it before but only got a mess.
Great idea to mask bottom left corners as you were making images larger. A beautiful composition idea.
We will miss you and your original ideas.
Best to You.

A great image capture Judy. I like the vibrant colors of the image and the positioning of the people. Judy, I wonder if you would approve of a crop on the left side removing the lighter colors that do not add to the image. My eye keeps wandering to the light area and leaving the frame. If you didn't want to delete the word Love, I understand but think that is too small to worthy saying in the frame. |

Tim, A spot-on image captured at the peak of action. I Love the textured fur. |

Thanks Nadia. The Photoshop remove tool works, I think, a little better than Lightroom tool. I tried to duplicate this edit a few nights ago and I couldn't but then again it depends on the dia. of the remove tool and where you start. So that is Adobe's secret. |

Thanks Ingrid. I had previously added to the canvas in LrC. I think I prefer the 5 flowers plus the bud. Thank you for your suggestions. |

Thanks Doug, great to get you comments. My composition while maybe diffuse, but I don't agree, it doesn't suffer from having multiple flowers going out of the frame in your version. I do agree with your color green and mine could be toned down. |

Nadia, the second original with dark bushy flowers was (as I mentioned above) really the original and using the remove tool in LrC the Ai cleaned up so well that it removed the extra pedals and bushy part of the flowers to make the original at the top of the page. My intention was to show that using Remove the Ai gives you many more options than previously. |

I was trying to edit the flowers in this original image just wondering if I could clean up the bushy images in the front by using the LrC remove tool and perhaps reveal the images in the back. As you probably have discovered the Ai remove tool does a pretty good job and in this case a very good job. I used the standard tool with the "Add mask" selectected. In fact I believe I use it that way 95% of the time. Ai obviously knows there is a nice flower behind otherwise I wouldn't remove the front one. I think is pretty cool. |

Thanks Rich. Yes, that was needed but if I went vertical it would show very little grass as the lawn had been planted under 2 weeks before. Composition was dictated by a newly planted plant. It will be better. Thanks |

Marti, that's a great creative image. Yes, I like polar coordinates but depending on how tired I am I flub up the flip so you don't get the line at 12 o'clock. :-(
Great job. |

Rich, a great job of exposing and capturing this mushroom. I understand mushrooms grow in these type of places, but I prefer the cropped background. I probably would have gone a step further and darkened the sky spots, unless you will present this to a true nature bug. Congrats on finding and processing such a beautiful subject. |

Ingrid, you pulled this off. This flower is well exposed and sharp and the textured background pulls everything together. |

Kamal, this is another beautiful image from the ASTRAS. I Love the green and pink combinations and the image is well exposed and sharp. Your painted texture adds to the image. The fly in the foreground adds to the image. The spot "bug?" at the 3 o'clock location should of been erased, cloned out, or removed as it adds nothing to the image, in my mind. |

I agree Doug, you have a unique ability to find and photograph Leaves with personality. Your stacking methods do an excellent job. Color is rich. I do wonder if there is any background color that can be used in lieu of the black. Well done. |

Very beautiful Nadia. The sharpness throughout the image works wonders. The background textures look very natural but a lighter background could offer more of a dreamy soft image. |

Marti, I agree with your choice of editing on this image. It cleans up the background and isolates the subject while going a hint there are more blossoms. Sometimes, depending on the color of the other blossoms, I allow some opacity to bring out details. |
