I just found this other firework. It had the red tint to the smoke as the other at the top, however, I reset the image by hitting the using the reset button at the bottom of develop. You'll note that the Raw file needed some editing, and the smoke already had the red tint because it was coming from the rocket launchers at the bottom of the image. Even a documentary image needs something if you shoot in raw. |

Gunter, sorry for being slow with my comments. Thanks for giving it a good try. However, I'm not agreeing with your edit on the smoke, as you can saw in your edit that your dark smoke prevented the gold light from showing as it passed the cloud. As many of you understand the raw image coming from this type of image is missing the darks vs bright hi lights and the colors are generally muted because of the smoke and haze in the air. |

Karen, Sorry about the misnaming in my remarks. Late night is my poor excuse.
Well done Karen. |

Don't give up on the Topaz filters and Looks. One of them will work. Use the opacity filter to bring out or hide details. Fix the size and submit another 1 or two images

Thank you Karen for taking the time to edit my image. I downloaded your version and placed it side by side to my submitted image. It might be my aging brain and eyesight but I'm not seeing any difference when viewing on my 27" monitor. I'm not downplaying your work and review, but wondering if the "download-editing-exporting-attaching to psa site" went wrong at some point? I didn't separate a smoke edit from the other portions. I respect your work and comments and welcome your comments and suggestions. Sorry, I'm just not seeing it. Image was taken 8/3 and still somewhat fresh in my mind. |

Ron, the PSA pixel size of submitted images takes away from your and everyone's images when they use panorama sizes. Your image suffers more, in my mind, because you used the Topaz effect. I'm unable to determine which because of the image size. I like the blue water and the fact it pulls my eyes back into the rear of the image. I like the fact that you masked off the water from the Studio effect. Exposures are great, just not sure why you picked this Studio filter or effect. If you submitted an original image before the Topaz studio filter it might help me understand the why and therefore comment on the benefit. |

Gunter this is well done. Another great flower petal comp on your Lightbox. Adding the dragonfly adds interest and scale. I'm not sure that I would have placed the head right on the flower parts. First glance makes it look like the dragonfly has antennae. |

A wonderful image Judy. At this stage of their growth, they could pass as white tail deer but admiringly with longer and darker fur on the head. What makes your image more compelling to me is the fact that the middle elk still has white spots but yet is bigger than the other two. No suggestions to make. Well done. |

Judy, that's another Judy original taking a staircase/way and making an abstract work of art. Amazing how you envision and produce these images. This one is easy to "see" from the end result but still not easy to forsee the final.
Another great shot Judy. |

Well exposed and composed Elaine. Maybe you tried this, but by selecting other parts of the image and opening the exposure/shadows up, you might be able to bring some life into the folks and tents out front?

Tim, a great bird shot. Very nice detail and sharpness throughout the areas that needed it. I'm kinda negative on the branch under foot, but being in a blind you have to go with what's before you. I still might running a brush along the white part and lower that exposure. Another winner. |

Kamal, you had a great idea here and cropping/editing out the branch below the bird gave you almost a good composition. As I'm sure you are aware it would be a preference to capture the birds head. Cell phone cameras have proven their value, but as you realize they have their limitations when shooting wildlife/birds. Keep at it and you'll be successful. |

Thanks Marti. That problem I overlook, because the edges of the loops are something that I don't believe I can fix. Those come from the variations in the colors and contrasts within the flower. If I were to expand the loops, which I haven't found out how to do, it would change the entire design, so until that day ever arrives, it is the way it is. |

Wow Rich a novel Creative use of the Polar Coordinates to make a Dandelion forest.
That's exactly what I enjoy about this group. Taking a plant/flower and giving it a Creative twist. We all learn and will use the idea when we have our own images that need a Creative twist. Thanks Marti for sharing your idea. Rich I really like how the trees(petals) shape is mirrored in the background. |

Ingrid, this is a very nice image. I Love the lines and yellow centers of the Hollyhocks and the great lighting. The lake makes a beautiful background. Well Done. |

Doug, this is a nicely composed and exposed flower. I agree that it made sense to darken the background to eliminate the lines from the bricks.
For my computer screen using PSA rules, the submitted images sizes are not to exceed 1450 x1050 and not to exceed 1MB in file size. I find it best to setup an export preset with the image size and file size specified.

Certainly a beautiful bud you found Nadia. I Love the detail lines present in the buds. They repeat the shape formed by the front center leaf. Great that you removed the out of focus leaf on the bottom. The dew drops add to the very nice texture you have created. I use f11 unless I want soft focus (which I rarely do) and that does a great job with getting smaller flowers and or buds in focus. |

Marti, I like your edits and making the yellow more saturated works for me. One thought is you have cropped off the petal tip on the bottom border. I can't tell if you had captured it in the raw or not. But with the new crop tool you can click constrain and that will expand to include the tip of the petal or in Ps you can use the generative expand to create the tip. My thought is that the tip should be included. Cropping the bottom tip off back towards the top leaves a cropped flower that does not work. |
