That's fantastic Karen. Glad you had fun and perhaps learned how you would do your own. Did you use the oil paint in Ps or something else? |

Thanks Gunter. I agree, with the new editing masks I think I could do something great with this image. But not likely a print, I have approx 30 16x20 prints already framed but we haven't reached the spot where we can begin to hang frames. Down the road a big I'll at least give it consideration. |

A great image Ron, glad you got it before the next time when it may of fallen down. I find the image underexposed and believe more exposure by using the 4 sliders in the Tone Curve to brighten the darks and shadows of the front and rear doors. |

Hi Gunter. The center of the image is showing 2 sailboats and rapids in the distance.
Skill needed to navigate such a voyage. You did very well to have good lighting and DOF within the canyon and front to back. Nicely down. |

Karen, Fireworks is one of those subjects where black and white might show better and color. You have exposed beautifully, and have solid contrasts from white to black. If there was room in the frame and light lines were coming from the bottom left corner and I was cropping to rule of thirds I might have had the center show in the right upper third of the image. Just maybe because not an easy chore calculating in a fraction of a second where the lines enter the image from. |

I look forward to your images every month, Judy. Between your vision and your iPad software you make beautiful images from normal (in this case staircase). I mention your vision, because I bet I lack a single staircase among my 49k images. But then again I'm not as well traveled. Great exposure, focus and center design. |

A beautiful image Elaine. I Love how you captured the backlit hairs on each leaf and the colors are natural. I might of tried using the Ps/LsC remove tool to remove gray/whitish spots at 2:10 and 2:20 o'clock on the image. |

Another fantastic "street photo" by Tim. Excellent focus and stopped action. I see where you gone to the Z7ii to replace you D750/D780. No hint of noise. My only nit was No signage from the cafe, but perhaps it has a local following and no sign needed. I'm thinking that you tried selecting his face and increasing exposure?

Thanks Doug, Good idea on the crop. In Topas Studio2, under filters v find motion, that gives you some choices but it defaults to Zoom, I use very little at this point, make another mask and it gives you choice of editing that mask and motion types like spin and a few others and my favorite is Swirl. I don't have program open. You can copy, paste, inverse these selections to your hearts content. |

Thanks Rich. I'm going to explore with fading the swirls because the swirls and the masks of flowers are the same and don't believe I've had one more vibrant than the other. |

Thanks Ingrid for your suggestions and comments. Of course I can crop to square but I don't know why I didn't. It seems that Topaz crops differently so I wait till it's back in LsC but no memory why I didn't. Glad to have another fan of Grocery Store Flower shops on board. |

I like the composition and the conversion to the black background. I do miss the texture and veins of the flowers as in the original version. I have done the conversion from Lightpad white to the black, but having a hard time finding the steps. I will try again later. |

Ingrid, beautiful image enhanced by the background and border, good texture to highlight all those petals and I can't think of anything I would change. |

Great capture Kamal with nice composition, and short focus, and a fantastic edit by Marti to remove those distractions created by the white spots. The image does show the scale between the fly and the golden shower plant. |

Doug, Rose Petals definitely has the best composition with those soft & hard edges and the subtle natural tones. Doug, I find that 3 of the 4 images are oversized (like in your raw size of 4423x3317 and only Rose Petals 3 (enhanced edges) has the proper pixels (within the 1400x1050 size). I had written to your email back a week or so and no reply from you and others can't see the entire image of Rose Petals, Rose Petals 3 and Rose Petals 1. Can you help me get this cleaned up? |

Marti, sorry for causing you confusion. In my mind the swirls are less prominent. It's the flowers sticking up thru the swirls that might be causing the confusion. 😀 |

Marti, this is a unique image and probably the only Amaryllis to be so honored in such fashion. Reading your steps tells me you spent plenty of time to get this image where you wanted. I particularly like the faded veins in the center and lower part of the image and the warped position of the stamens/flower parts at the top of the frame. I do not have any suggestions to improve (yes the color might not be perfect) but that's the natural green from the Amaryllis. I'm going to try one of my daylily pics and see if I can make something as beautiful as this. |
