Thanks Tim. Todays tools make it much easier to clean it up and I'll do it someday.

Thanks Judy. Darkening the background is very easy with the new subject selection mask. I just didn't get to it.

Thank you Gunter. I don't have time to try this, but like your idea of using Topaz de-noise to remove water droplets. Using a mask to protect the water drops on the flower might be a solution. Maybe someday I'll try.

Thank you Elaine for your comments. I agree with all, but also think its up to the artist in the end. I'm running short of time during my edits so I'm very forgiving and thankful with suggestions by fellow DD ers. |

Hi Elaine. Welcome to DD29. I like your creativity and deconstruction of the Daisy. I would have stayed with your original exposure of the white petals, however, I would have flipped the image horizontally with the trail of petals leading to the bud. It's almost an abstract so its fun how we can all have a variation that works. |

Gunter, nice grab shot. I'm wondering if you thought about cropping from the bottom to remove the sidewalk and empty space while also cropping in from the right to remove the bright space to the left of the large tree trunk. My thought is that removing that bright sky (with nothing in it) would put all the emphasis on the couple walking and it would make them larger in the frame. |

Great seeing Ron, as this is definitely a closeup. I'm a little bothered about the hotspots below the bug but it acceptable. I wonder if you considered cropping the right half of the flower? It's not really adding to the composition. |

Very nice image Karen. Excellent composition and exposure, even to have a rider with hat, great leg separation and no merging with the sun. |

What a great expression you captured Tim. All is sharp, surprised they didn't move out of the way. Well done. |

Israel the Photo Journalist. Another beautiful image, obviously candid but perfect composition and lighting. You have such expertise to run into these image scenarios on a regular basis. You should stop in to the newspaper or photo news networks and show them your portfolio of everyday people in Israel. Fantastic Image. |

Bunny, the glass, mirror effect, texture on floor and in ceiling are all fantastic in making a beautiful Abstract. I keep looking at your original and trying to envision and end result. You accomplished a beautiful and unique image. Well done |

Mark, as a Kate arriver to the dinner, not sure what I can contribute. I definitely like and appreciate the darker clothing. I try to always have true blacks and Mark, I really like the tones of the menus? overhead. All the best for this image to make history. |

Hi Emil. I thought I would try using Ps but ending up using Topaz Studio2. I agree with you idea of darkening the image, but I think you went too dark. I used Topaz to convert to Mono then brushed in the ferns and inverted them to make them darker and used grad filter to lower the top. I used the image that downloaded and
I'm not to happy with the pixels. Emil, I do like the 3 trees and their bark and I also love the dark tree trunks, probably cherry, in the background. Pete's looks great also. Sorry I didn't take the time to upsize the orig image and then downside it again to a point where PSA will accept. |

Hi LuAnn. A very nice subject for using film. I Love the textures of the tree bark and the garden edging leading my eyes thru the gate. I agree with the darker toning vs the original and the lighter toned path leading further down the path. I like that there is no visible "grain" and everything else is done extremely well. |

Pete, prefer your version with the White House vs Emil's gray version. I also like your sky treatment. I was done in that region back in 2019 and this house is in great condition vs those with holes in the roof and the grass etc in the front was much higher. Great idea of hi lighting the newspapers etc to help tell the story. |

Thanks Doug for your kind words and disagreement on whether my creation is a flower. IT IS! We both are using similar subjects (flowers) and software but our end results come out differently. Not an issue for me and I doubt it's a real issue for you. I realize that not everyone will enjoy my images and that's perfectly fine, and hopefully you realize not everyone loves all of your images. I learn from all images presented. |

Hi Kamal. You've done a great job of capturing the pink Lotus flowers against the green of the pads. I know you cropped the original image, but you must be "Bold" and crop to make your subject "Pop". As Nadia and Kathryn have indicated you need to Crop. Perhaps making a vertical presentation including both Pink Lotus flowers. I'm short on time and did a modern day crop by making a screen shot. Hope it gives you ideas.

Doug, this has beautiful colors and details. The lens filter does a great job merging everything into 1 image. I agree with Rich about the center of the image interest is not dead center. It seems that might be very difficult to achieve so I have two options that you will probably toss out. How about if you used the crop tool and rotate the image so that it's symmetrical. Another option that I would prefer would be to use topaz studio2 and crop to your desire and use a swirl filter, opacity at about 50% and/or one of the impressionistic filters moving the center of interest to another position. This would drastically change the look of the image but it might give you more options. |

Another very nice flower Rich. Beautiful details and colors. Just wish the whites resulting on the right were less prominent. But considering how large these flowers aren't that's being too picky and way beyond what I could accomplish. |

Nadia, this is a fantastic image. The original flower, and background go well together. It does have a painterly look that you set out to achieve. I have no problem with the results on the flower, but I think the silvery look on the background is a "tad" too much. |

Jacob, you continue to improve and have captured this sunflower with a natural background. A minor nit or two. Use the clone or healing tool to remove the white gray mark at 20 after the hour and using a brush to darken the bite leaf at the top right corner area. Keep on with the improvements. |
