Thanks, Adrian. When I was going through some shots taken on my crop sensor Nikon from a trip to Nevada, and I came across my hummingbird images, I did not expect them to look too good when I blew them up. I was pleasantly surprised. I had never seen an Anna's Hummingbird and was so glad that I had my raw files. I plan to tweak the tint a bit and use it in an upcoming exhibit. |

Isaac,
Thank you so much for your comments and suggestion. I noticed what you said and did more editing. Do you prefer the orange background in the attached image? I'm thinking it is more reflective of the western warmth that was present. |

Isaac, Another cool shot with an interesting story to tell. I think the cropping really enhances the story. My eye is drawn right to the little guy's eye as he happily receives his meal from his mamma. I am drawn to the dreamy quality of the soft focus in the original image, but I also like the details of the fur that you brought out in the edited version. |

Adrian, What a lovely image! I think your conversion to black and white really brings out the drama of the sky and sun rays. Though I like the way the pool leads me to the ocean, I almost feel as if I am looking at two different photos. I'm wondering how it might look cropped from the bottom up and made into a pano. |

Bruce, I feel as if I am waiting to hear some music as this pelican appears to be conducting an orchestra! Lovely composition, sharp details and pleasant background. Nicely done! |
