72 Jul 21 Comment Isaac, I agree with all of the comments about the story telling; this is truly a fabulous image that I can stare at and add many details to the story that swirls in my mind. I also love the other 2 images that you included in your posting. Putting all three together really gets the story to unfold! What a fabulous opportunity you had to experience this. Jul 12th
72 Jul 21 Comment Adrian, I am such a softie when it comes to mama birds feeding their little ones and the connection you have captured between these two is just adorable. I agree with Bruce about the ripples, which were bothersome to my eye. I find the closeup to be more effective. I have never seen a coot before except when I play Bird Bingo with my grandchildren! 72 Jul 21 Comment Walt, The first thing that struck me was the wonderful complimentary colors in your image. How cool that you were able to find that little blue cornflower amongst the fiery poppies! I prefer Isaac's crop but I also wondered about how it would look as a pano. I tried playing around with it, but in the end I did not like a pano version. Jul 12th
72 Jul 21 Comment Mary, I like how the trees lead the viewer to a path on the left and that path leads the eye across the mountains to the right. I agree with the others about the scale and I also found your pp to be effective. Jul 12th
72 Jul 21 Comment Randy, I love the title you created for this sweet image. How fortunate you were to capture such a fabulous pose that definitely leads the viewer to imagine several possible stories. I agree about the hue. I am saddened to hear that some of the little ones are now deceased. Jul 12th
72 Jul 21 Comment Bruce, As you know, I am a bird lover so this little guy really made me smile! I love the pose you captured; its little feet are so sweet. The lovely background you created by darkening the light areas is an effective backdrop to keep the viewer focused on the junco. I agree with Isaac's vertical cropping, which enhanced the image. 72 Jul 21 Comment I am excited to share that when I went to the gallery yesterday to pick up my images (the exhibit ended yesterday), someone had just purchased this piece! It was exciting. In the past 3 months I was honored to be invited to this local gallery for a 3- part exhibit, and throughout those 3 months, 4 of my pieces ended up selling. This was the first time I have had some of my photos purchased in a gallery and it really made me so happy! Jul 12th

72 Jul 21 Reply Thanks, Adrian. I also keep going back and forth re: how much of a vignette I prefer. I do appreciate your comments. Jul 12th
72 Jul 21 Comment Bruce and Isaac,
Thank you so much for your comments. I have reduced the vignette and see what you mean!
