Mary, What a beautiful image! I find hummingbirds to be so amazing and interesting to watch. I have never seen one like this. I enjoyed the artistic effect you created; although I also love the original. Where did you find this hummer? |

Randy, Oh those eyes! His expression coupled with his eyes certainly do create a mood and does cause the viewer to wonder what he is thinking. You did a great job of bringing out the details. |

Isaac, Thank you for your comments and question. I do not think there was a third leg behind the teepee tree, but since the Preserve is close to my home, I plan to go back and try to find that tree again to check it out! If there is a third leg, I will try some more shots from different vantage points. I am also going to play around with the current image to remove the distracting front log. |

Adrian, This is a great example of wildlife in its natural habitat. What a fascinating experience this must have been! The composition is very effective, especially the way the eye travels in a circular manner due to the great framing of the tree above, the curve of the tree roots and the elephant on the right making a turn. |

Isaac, What an awesome catch! I have always wanted to go on an expedition such as this to see polar bears in their natural habitat. It must have been amazing to see this little family finding the dolphin carcass and then munching on its remains. I would love to see a couple more of your images from that journey. I especially like the determined look you caught in the mother's face; an image that truly tells a story. |

Walt, WOW! This image certainly deserves the perfect score that you achieved in a competition. What a double bonus to catch that sunlight as well as all the flowers in bloom. Such an effective image. Marie |

Bruce, What an awesome wave! Some wave images are boring, but by going back to the site later in the day and catching the backlit tops of the waves allows the viewer to see the majestic details.Nicely done!

Bruce,
Oh, no need to apologize! I purposely chose this image to get honest feedback since I have been exploring black and white landscapes, which have been out of my comfort zone. I liked the angles of the trees, but you are right. It is too busy. I will continue my pursuit! |
