Isaac, What a fabulous image of this eagle! The texture of the perch, its feathers are very effective. I particularly enjoyed your second image with the fish in its claws; what an awesome catch! I'm wondering if it might look even better with a tiny bit more saturation in his eye. |

Adrian, What a delightful image! I love the eye of the bottom bear; what a great catch. I also like the foot of the little bear as it clings to its sibling as well as the sibgling's claws that are seen in the lower right. Such a great story being told in this image! I agree with the suggestion to remove the rocks, which are a bit distracting to me. |

Mary, I also enjoy squirrel images. They can be so interesting as they scurry around the yard plotting all sorts of adventures. I love the expression you captured. I agree with Randy about the twigs.

Thanks, Walt. Focus stacking is a great idea. Next summer when the insects return, I will give it a try.

Thank you, Randy. I really enjoy using my Macro lens in the summer. The flowers and insects are in great abundance, so there are always subjects available. Now that winter is coming, I will use it inside on flowers that I buy. I have not yet been able to get the segmented eyes. I will try that next summer! Thanks for the suggestion re: cloning out the grey areas in the background of my shot; good idea!

Bruce, A few years ago, I loved seeing the seals in La Jolla. It is so interesting to watch them up close. Your image has such effective depth of field. Every whisker, eyelash and speck of sand is crisp and clear. The background effectively contrasts with his brownish-grey fur. Nicely done! |
