Mary, I love the light you have captured over the mountain which draws the viewer into the image. Since the mountain and the light are so awesome, I was wondering if the image were cropped into a square if it might give more emphasis to the subject. I did a quick edit to see how it would look. I also agree that the foreground is a bit dark. |

Abhijeet, The clarity of the heron and the warmth of the image are effective. I like the story that your image tells as the heron patiently watches and waits for its prey. I agree that it might be more effective if you tone down the bright foreground. |

Walt, This is such a clever composite. I can imagine all sorts of intriguing stories to tell as I gaze at your image. I look forward to your July image with the Milky Way. |

Your mice image is quite sharp with effective depth of field. The image makes me smile as I wonder how comfortable can they be on that bed of spikes! I agree with Bruce, perhaps a bit more space on the right would make it more effective. |

Thank you, Bruce. I will try your idea to darken the clouds. We also had to cancel a trip to Arizona, where we had planned to stay for the month of March. My husband was going to paint and I was going to take photos. I hope we are able to see some fox photos from you in May! |
