72 Jan 20 Reply Thank you Adrian. I thought my original was dull and did not really represent the vibrant colors that I saw that night as the sun was setting. Ah...you noticed the crocodile in the lake!! I ended up receiving a People's Choice Award for this image last week. It was juried into a local photography gallery show. Very exciting!! Jan 26th
72 Jan 20 Reply Thank you for your suggestions, Walt. Jan 21st
72 Jan 20 Reply Thanks, Bruce. I see your point about the color of the moon and the space. Jan 21st
72 Jan 20 Reply Thanks, Isaac. I went back and forth with the colors, which were more vibrant in reality than the original showed. Perhaps I should try to get something a bit in between what I ended with. I appreciate your feedback. Jan 13th
72 Jan 20 Comment I like the S curve that leads the viewer to the top of the image. The curve and the contrast allows the eyes to rotate nicely around the image. What a beautiful sight! I hope to get to Yellowstone in the future. It looks amazing. Jan 9th
72 Jan 20 Comment I really like the framing with the darker values in this image. The leading lines of the staircase make me want to climb the steps to see the whole view that the silhouetted figure is seeing from the top of the steps. Jan 9th
72 Jan 20 Comment What an incredible catch... not only mating rhinos but you even caught the birds taking a rest! I'm glad that you remained safe even after the male fight ensued; that must be quite a story! I like your cropping and the colors that were brought out a bit. I'm wondering if it might be helpful to erase the grass coming out of the lower rhino's head. Jan 9th
72 Jan 20 Comment Your post processing makes this such an effective image. Removing the cluttered background, sharpening the image and bringing out the color in its beak and feet really enhanced it. Nicely done! Jan 9th
72 Jan 20 Comment What a great idea to flip the image and rotate it! The crisp feathers and its bright staring eye add to the effectiveness of this fabulous image. This image captures the egret's beauty and nuances very well. Jan 9th
