Walt, As I look at the luminosity of Cathedral Rock, you have created an image that evokes within me a feeling of peacefulness as I think of a moonlit evening where I want to just be! |

Isaac, When I look at this photo I feel joyful! The strong reds against the complementary greens give it a colorful festive appeal. The feather-like appearance of the palm fronds complements the feathers of the birds. |

Adrian, You did such a great job of catching the movement of the sand. The lighting and colors from your post processing nicely enhance the image. |

Mary, What a fabulous catch! I especially love the way the mom and baby's feet are in sync with each other. I would love to travel to Tanzania; it looks like quite an experience. |

Bruce, This is the most stunning image of an eagle that I have ever seen! The sharpness of the beak, eye and feathers are highly effective. I love the story that accompanied your image. |

Mary, In June it was very bright in Venice right up until around 9:00 pm. I hope you can visit there sometime, although after the horrible flooding that occurred yesterday, it will be awhile before all the damage is fixed. So sad. |

Thank you so much for the useful feedback and I apologize for submitting an image that is not in the theme for the group. I wasn't sure if it fit the theme or not; now I know! I will be more careful with future images that I submit. When I was in Venice, I was curious about the canals and I discovered that originally Venice was a large lagoon with many islands separated by natural canals. As the settlement grew, the natural canals were made wider and deeper to allow building materials to be transported by boats. On an aside...last night the mayor of Venice called for a state of emergency due to major flooding caused by the highest tide in 50 years. Those beautiful canals are now causing havoc. |
