Beautiful image of this beautiful bird. Now all I wish is to go photograph this bird myself! |

Nice composition. The bird is clearly the star in this image with no distractions at all. The catchlight in the eye and seeds in the bill of the bird adds to the image. Is this the Great Hornbill? |

I like the colors in the photograph. The bird stands out from its beautiful background. I agree with Isaac, a little bit room in the front for it to fly into would make this even a better image. Awesome! |

I always love the images which show interaction between two birds. I agree with Isaac, the colors look a little washed out. So I tried adjusting the curve in LR and got the following results. What do you think? |

Great action shot. The bird is sharp with the details in the feathers coming through. You could easily remove grass that goes across the fish and bill by using the remove tool in LR. I would have left a little bit more space above. But you have to take what nature has to offer. This looks more like the Purple Heron I have photographed in India. |

This image stood out to me from the many others I took because the flower petal seen through the wings. It made up for the sad flower. |

I like the fall scene. I like that you were able to place yourself so that there was enough separation between the aspen trunks. The only thing I wish in this scene was to see the Longhorn in its entirety and maybe even face towards me. Such is nature. |

Thank you for the article. This year I have not seen as many Monarchs in my garden as the previous years. So seeing this Monarch in the Sunflower filed definitely brought me joy. |

Like Gwen, I love the curves in the water, they have created the layers in the image that take me through the front and back of the image. Really well done with the over cast sky. Like Leslie, I would be interested to see if dehazing of sky helps. |

This looks like a painting to me! Nice leading line, S curve of the roaring water, anchor on both left and right bottom of the frame, great depth of field, so many elements that makes this a compelling photo. I could imagine myself standing on those rocks and taking in this beautiful landscape. |

Really nice capture! I like the sharpness in the bird you have achieved. I love the background but as Leslie mentioned it distracts me from the beautiful subject. Have you tried to blur the background? In my opinion background on its own could make for a great abstract image. |

Sherry,
Beautiful image. I love the colors and the clean background. The tack sharp bee in its mouth makes it perfect. I am not bothered by the background darker spots. In my mind they frame the bee eater. I agree with Johns suggestion of burning the branch a little. Great photo! |
