I see the courtship behavior of Northern Cardinals on the seed feeder in my yard starting in the spring and lasting through summer. I always had wanted to capture this action in a more natural surrounding, so when this opportunity presented itself, I was thrilled that I was in the right position. |

Kathy, Great details on this portrait photo of the pigeon. I like the catch light in the pigeons eye and how the light falling on the neck brings out the beautiful colors. It would have been a more interesting image if this common bird was in action. |

Hi Grace, I like the high key rendition of the sparrow. The bird is sharp even with the heavy crop. Excellent image. |

Beautiful shot of the sandhill crane landing. It reminds me of the trip I made in January this year to Alabama to photograph the Sandhill Cranes. They are so much fun to photograph. |

Great action photo of the Hornbill with its catch. I like the composition and the sharpness in both the bird and its prey.
In India, I have seen the Grey and Malabar Pied Hornbills perched on fruit trees never in action. Thank you for sharing. |

Hi Isaac, I like the morning light on the birds. The changes Grace made to the background definitely enhances the image. I wish the beaks of all the cranes were showing but sometimes we have to take what we get, the challenges of nature photography. |

Leslie, I love this beautifully composed image. The shape and details in the driftwood tree holds my interest. The mountains in the background give the image an added touch. The only thing I wish to see in this photograph is some drama in the sky. |

Judy, I love this photograph. The bird is sharp displaying its wings beautifully and you did a wonderful job with the sky replacement. The end result is gorgeous. |
