Hi Jerry, Thank you for your comments.
I contemplated a portrait composition but in the end settled on the landscape. Certainly a possibility. I like what the other changes you made did to the background green but I think it makes the Heron look muddier than what I actually saw. I will try applying those changes just to the background. |

Jerry, Beautiful light on the sandhill crane. I like the crop and the title is very appropriate. Awesome! |

Hi Isaac, Great use of the fill light. I like the details and the colors in the feathers that you were able to pull out by this technique. With the flash they would have been seen as black. I think the green nesting material and the blue sky with some clouds makes this a very striking image. |

Kathy, Beautiful portrait of the peacock. I like that the image is sharp and there is a catch light in the birds eye.
As a kid growing up in Northern India we use to have peacocks roam around everywhere. They even layed eggs in our backyard a few times. I remember their beauty when both the male and female danced by opening their radiant blue feathers. But when I visited the area right before the pandemic I did not see a single peacock. I was told that the extensive use of pesticides for farming has reduced their population significantly. |

Pei-Fan, I love the composition and colors in this photograph. The bird is sharp and giving an excellent pose. Beautiful!! This looks very much like the Indian White-eye that I photographed when I visited India last year. But none of my photos of this bird are this beautiful. |

Leslie, The background is nicely blurred so the bee stands out. Nice colors as well. I also like the crop and that you were able to capture such a sharp image of the fast moving bee. In my opinion if the bee was approaching the flower from the other direction so you could see its head this would have been an awesome photo. |

Hi John, Great story of over-development. It seems to be the case in many areas. Including the people who are wearing the same color outfits as the water in the lake was a great idea. But I think the colors are a bit over saturated. |

Perfect image of the Jackal. I like the composition and the colors Jackal in the photo. The blurred background makes the Jackal stand out. The dull skies don't really bother me. |

Hi Judy,
Lovely photo of the Anhinga showing its typical behavior. I like the crop, the sharpness in the bird and its breeding plumage. |

Hi Sherry, It is so much fun watching birds playing in water but always a difficult action to capture in a photograph. I took your original into LR and did some quick edits. Masked the background color using masking by color and enhanced it by increasing exposure and whites. I separately masked Spoonbill, changed exposure by +.96, whites +29, highlight -25, shadows by +48. Then I changed the luminance of feather color by -26. What do you think? |
