15 Aug 23 Comment The intense look in the bittern's eye is captivating. I like that the bittern is in sharp focus and the green moss is acting like a leading line. The bittern really pops out from its background except for its beak. I like how Isaac was able to bring it out. Aug 6th
15 Aug 23 Comment I like the high key image with the reflection. I like the composition. Just like the others, I think that the highlights are overexposed. Aug 6th
15 Aug 23 Comment I like this image a lot. The colors of the rainbow, the water are gorgeous and the gull is in sharp focus. The gull is placed perfectly in the frame. The ripples in the water below gives it the depth.

15 Aug 23 Reply This photograph reminded me of that book as well but I could remember the name of the book so thanks for that. Aug 6th
15 Aug 23 Comment I like the colors and the composition of the photo. I think the texture of the tree adds additional interest to the photo.
I have never seen the sky with those pink hues. So thanks for sharing. I commend you for going out in the early morning in bitter cold temperatures.

15 Aug 23 Comment Nice photo of the cormorant in flight. I particularly like the emerald eye with a catch. You have done a great job with the post processing.

This year during the spring I saw cormorants visit the area of wetlands I regularly go to photograph birds. It was a delight to photograph them.

15 Aug 23 Comment Great action shot! The egret is in sharp focus with great details in its eyes and bill. my attention immediately goes to the green around the eye. I like the well balanced composition with the egret facing me.

Like Mike, I also like the javelin shot look in the second photo.

94 Aug 23 Comment Love it! You have captured the expression really well! Aug 11th
94 Aug 23 Comment Nice picture of this beautiful colored Indian Paintbrush. The background could have been blurry for the flowers to really stand out but I totally understand the constant conundrum of how to hike light and yet capture everything I see perfectly. I am slowly learning to just enjoy what I see and if I can get a good photograph it is a bonus. Oh and my company is also learning to be patient with me but that's not always the case :)
We see the red Indian paintbrush in the Chattahoochee wetlands and along the bank of the river.

94 Aug 23 Reply Hi Sherry, I brought your image into LR, adjusted the chromatic aberration slider to the right and adjusted the hue towards the blue. It got rid of that blue. Aug 9th
94 Aug 23 Reply Thank you Leslie. Now I know who to go to if I need help with dragonfly identification :) Aug 7th
94 Aug 23 Comment Hi Leslie, Cinnamon is in sharp focus and stands out in the green water. I like the squiggly green in the foreground but in my opinion it is taking away from the subject.

94 Aug 23 Comment I like this photo of Limpkin with its soft background and the light coming through the end of its wings. The perfectly round dew drops are really interesting. When I see the image in full screen I see a blue halo around the grass blades and the dew drops that could be removed by chromatic aberration in LR.
We had a Limpkin visit our local wetlands for two weeks in July, although I heard that there were more than one. It is a rare sight for them to travel this far north. I saw reports of them in the Philadelphia area as well. Is it global warming? One of the days that I visited it was close to us so I ended up with hundreds of photographs of it.

94 Aug 23 Comment Hi Sherry, I love this Blue Bunting photo. I really like the color palette and the composition in this photograph. The blue color of the bunting is gorgeous. I have never seen a Blue Bunting so this a treat. Beautiful! Aug 4th
