42 Jul 21 Comment Robert, Very nice photo of the Iris. I like how the background is beautifully blurred except for the green leaves that are all going in one direction, creating a flow in your image. The colors of the Iris are stunning against this background. Jul 8th
42 Jul 21 Comment Keith, Very nice shot. I would remove the spots on the right side of the photo. or crop as Stuart suggested to get rid of that area. Jul 8th
42 Jul 21 Comment Heather, Very creative. I like what Stuart did to the image as well. Although, I like your image as well. Jul 8th
42 Jul 21 Comment What an amazing art work and you captured it well. I like what Bev did to the image. I think the increased contrast gives the image more depth. Jul 8th
42 Jul 21 Comment Very nice shot of the moose. Everything is in sharp focus, the background is nicely blurred and you even got the catch in her eyes. Beautiful! Jul 8th

94 Jul 21 Reply Hi Sherry, thank you for your comments. I have seen the northern flickers resting on high tree tops but have always seen them look for insects on the ground. Hopefully one day can share one in action on a tree top. Jul 28th
94 Jul 21 Reply Thank you Judy. This was in continuous mode with me capturing two or three frames. I agree the shutter is loud and many a times I have had birds look back at me probably thinking what is that. But this flicker continued with its search. I am not sure if it was because my shutter noise was masked by the gushing Boulder creek or this bird was not bothered by the sound. Jul 28th
94 Jul 21 Comment Peter, Great image. I agree with all that Sherry has in her comments. Egrets make for a great subject for sure. Jul 11th
94 Jul 21 Comment Christine,
The tanager really pops out amongst the green of the trees. I have seen the red tanagers in our area but have never had a chance to photograph a male red tanager as they are very shy birds.

94 Jul 21 Comment Mark, Very sharp image of the red tailed hawk. The tree trunk on which the hawk is perching with the moss in sharp focus really adds to the photograph. Jul 8th
94 Jul 21 Comment Donald, What a beautiful color! I like the composition and the dragonfly stands out against the beautifully blurred background. Very nice! Jul 8th
94 Jul 21 Comment Sherry, I really like the expression in the owls eyes. Beautiful portrait. Would love to see the burrowing owls some day. Jul 8th
94 Jul 21 Comment Judy, This is just so beautiful, full of emotion. Awesome capture! Jul 8th
