Stuart,
I was instantly drawn to this photograph. At first glance I thought this was a photo of a print of a painting until I read your description. I kept going back to the women in the window to see her expressions and know what she is thinking. To me, the colors in the photo and the peeling paint on the window tell you a story in itself. Beautiful. |

Robert,
Welcome to the group!
This is a beautiful photo of the witch alder. Bev's changes make the flower really stand out. Very nice. |

Thanks for the information on 52frames. I will look into it. Sounds like a fun way to learn. |

Donald,
Beautiful flower! It is amazing what we can see of a flower through a camera lens. The white flower really stands out in the nice blurry background. Very nice!
Lately I have been taking pictures of wild flowers around me, from the tiniest to largest. I tried photostacking technique on flowers brought from the store by taking atleast 5-10 images of single flower and stacking them in photoshop. It was a lot of fun. I have not tried it in the wild as I don't carry a tripod with me on my walks. |

Peter,
Great photo of the gull! Birds in flight are challenging and you got this just right. I have not been able to keep them in focus with my 500pF and without support it just seems impossible for me. Really admire this photograph! |

Hi Sherry,
Love this photo for the details in the feather, the expression in the ospreys eyes and the beautiful light. Magnificent bird indeed!
Two weeks ago as I was hiking along the Chatahoochee river I saw an osprey hovering over the water but my photos were not this sharp. I regret not taking my 500mm lens with me. Had to be satisfied with the 300mm zoom on my D500. |

Hi Christine,
The dragonfly and the front body of the bird is in sharp focus. I like the crop that Sherry made to eliminate the green. We don't have these birds in our region so thank you for sharing. |

Hi Judy,
You have really captured the color of the flower beautifully. Just like Sherry, I was wondering about your exercise as well. |

I really like the colors and the sharpness of the bird in the photo. To me the parallel twigs and the vertical crop make this image special. I keep trying to find shapes in the photo and every time it takes me back to the wrens eye. I agree with others with the background. Great photo. |

Hi Peter, Thank you for your comments. I think this photo was taken in the afternoon, the time stamp on the photo is 1pm, when the sun was high in the sky but the cardinal was in the leaves. You are correct, I used Auto ISO for this image. |

Thank you for your comments Judy. More than the cardinal eating the caterpillar, I liked this photo better when I saw the reflection of my house in the cardinals eye. |
