The denoise seems to have helped with the eye. I was at a distance from the action which probably contributed to focus not being right on the eye. The jpeg I sent you does not look soft either, so I am not sure what is going on.

94 Feb 21 Comment Very nice image of the green heron. These herons are quite shy and like to hide in the vegetation around them which makes it very difficult to get a clean background. You have done a wonderful job with that in this photo. Maybe as Peter suggested a lower f stop would have made it even cleaner. Excellent! Feb 14th
