42 Jan 21 Comment Hi Lynne,
I like the colors in the photograph. I had the same reaction as Keith when I saw the photo before reading his comments. Nice image!

42 Jan 21 Comment Hi Keith, This is a really great image. The eeriness of this abandoned street with nature taking over really comes through in your photograph. The changes Stuart made with the sky make the street pop out more.
I like your idea of restoration. Here is Atlanta, the belt line has become a bustling main attraction for the city. The belt line is a multi use pathway made along the old abandoned rail road. Also many of the old abandoned buildings/wear houses along the railroad have now become artists studios, restaurants and marketplace. Maybe Swan street can be transformed into something similar.

94 Jan 21 Reply Thanks Peter. The reflection is of the male surf scoter. I couldn't get him sharp enough so I cropped him out. Jan 23rd
94 Jan 21 Comment Hi Mark,
Nice image of the Bison. The bisons face is sharp and you also got the catch in its eye. The composition of the image is excellent. If the f stop was a higher number you could have increased the depth of field to have the foreground and the bisons back in focus.

94 Jan 21 Comment Hi Sherry,
Really nice image. I like how you were able to remove the branches that were in front of the bird. The prey really stands out. I like the original sky as well. Very nice.

94 Jan 21 Comment Very nice image! I love the colors, sharpness and the depth of field in the photo. The attitude of the thrush that is looking directly at the camera makes the photo very special. Jan 19th
94 Jan 21 Comment Hi Judy,
Nice image. It's sharp, the bird stands out against the background. The composition is beautiful. I agree with Sherry, the original WB is better.

94 Jan 21 Comment Hi Sherry,
Thank you for your comments. The surf scoters (I misspelled scoter in my original post) do swallow the bivalves in its entirety. They prefer smaller bivalves probably because they are more energy efficient to digest. The female scoters have dark brown eyes so with the membrane the eye does look very peculiar. I tried noise reduction in Lightroom but it didn't really help the image. As you mentioned a higher shutter speed would have helped the image be sharper and crispier.
