Very nice! Woodpeckers are hard to photograph with their heads really moving fast. |

Great picture! I have never been to Bryce Canyon, this picture definitely wants me to travel there right away. |

Beautiful image. I like how you have framed it with the grass, the side trees and the log in the foreground providing a window for the fall colors and the majestic mountains. |

I like the pose the flamingo is in but to my novice eyes the colors do seem saturated. |

You have captured the playfulness of the waxwings so beautifully! I have only seen the adult cedar waxwings and they have always been really high on tree tops. |

Beautiful photo! With its legs on the move and tongue sticking out it definitely captures the story. Awesome! |

Beautiful image. I would love to see the butterfly's head facing towards you rather than away from you. But you take what nature gives! |

Thanks Sherry for recommendation on the lenses. How is the new camera working out? Looking forward to seeing pictures taken with it. Hopefully, the current surge in Covid cases in your area has not dampened your plans of going out to take picture.
Stay safe! |

Hi Sherry,
I saw two varieties of Flamingos cohabiting in the wetlands of Mumbai, the lesser and the greater flamingos. Both varieties are very similar but I think these are lesser flamingos as there entire bill is dark black. The greater flamingos have a pink bill with dark black coloring at the very tips. Both of these varieties are also distributed in Africa.
I have a Nikon 70-300mm lens. I like it for its light weight and carrying around all day. I would like to try out the 200-500 but am afraid it will be too heavy for hand held with any shake showing through in the pictures.
Would love to hear about the Sony A7rIV. It looks like an amazing camera. |

Such a gorgeous photograph. The feathers have great details and the lighting on the bird is just beautiful. Your original image is also beautiful, with its background it tells a story and the birds habitat. I am just a beginner but when I see comments in other groups seems like the blurred background is preferable. I would be torn if asked to choose between the two.
When I was in India I saw a black and white spoonbill. It was nowhere as beautiful as the Roseate spoonbill. |

Really nice image. The body of the dragonfly is in sharp focus. Did you use a tripod? |
