Thank you for your encouraging comments I will have to try your advised methods to get focus stackable shots I am not sure whether I can use a tripod but I can jury rig something with my walker Because of my bad hip I am totally dependent on the walker now But it lets me carry more gear and has a seat if I need to rest. I am trying to focus on the positive.
Butterfly World has reopened and since it is open to the air in most areas should be safe if everyone wears a mask
I prefer going when the butterflies surround me That way I not only have a photo shoot but an uplifting experience As you point out that time of day the butterflies do not stop that long which is why I went for large aperture very fast shutter speeds |

This is a beautiful sharp black and white image Such wonderful curves and texture
I also would either crop out or clone out the top leaf |

The color is beautiful especially against the black background When I opened it in Luminar 4 I saw the ripples better and like them. I would crop in a lot making it seem like you planned only to have the head I agree with Leonid to tone down the white spot on its back |

Nice view of the secretive Yellow crowned night heron with a good reflection that adds interest. A good shot for a birding list or an unchanged nature shot. However for a fine art image I think it needs to be cropped even more, sharpened, the grass across his wing cloned out or content aware filled and the background blurred as Leonid advised and did and a catch light added to the eye |

Nice fireworks capture I agree with leaving in the foreground lights, but decreasing the brightness of the ones that draw the eye from the fireworks as Robert suggests would be a good idea
Viveza 2 from the DxO Nik Collection can decrease the brightness in a pinpoint way |

Beautiful colors I like the color of the original better, but I like the vignette I agree that it is a little soft The original seems sharper |

Very creative. Interesting composite, nice sharp apples.
I would leave out the drop Without the drop it would look like an apple had dropped even without moving or enlarging the splash If you move the splash under just one apple without the drop it would be even better |
