Lovely colors This would have been a perfect subject for focus stacking which would have made all the bud sharp If you used a large aperture that would have blurred the background more including the leaf that Robert mentioned whose sharpness is more than the bud and tends to pull the eye, I think the bud would stand out even more As it stands I would try to use a sharpener on the bud and a blurring of the sharp leaf I took your image into Luminar 4 and Photoshop I also cloned out some bright spots

A wonderful moody image The contrast of nature with the use of modern technology makes a good story Good composition.
I agree with slightly lightening the woman
I hope she was taking photos and enjoying the spectacular scenery and not texting |

Thank you Oliver I am glad you liked my image I took a lot of images that day and will post more In fact my March 2020 was of another butterfly taken on March 4. In April I posted an image I took at the lorikeet feeding enclosure
I hope our Butterfly world opens again in the future and that your butterfly house does too. I just thought of a wonderful trip: a one week trip visiting Butterfly Houses in various parts of the country for a day each |

Thank you for your kind comments
If you visit a screen enclosed butterfly garden be sure to go in the afternoon I had been to this place twice before at different times to take photographs ,but this time was best
During this visit the air was filled with sunshine and butterflies at around 2:30pm At 4 pm when I had circled around the whole park which includes an insectarium , bird area and lorikeet feeding area and came back there were fewer butterflies flying around. As I said it was glorious earlier.
I hope it reopens when things get back to "normal" Apparently the county had raised the rent a huge amount and there was talk about closing for good when the lease ended The 90 mm 2.8 FE Sony lens also helped
Before I got into photography I visited a butterfly park in Georgia at Callaway Gardens My husband was taking film images back then |
