Thank you for your kind comments Dorinda, Tom, Jon and Jessica.
Jon, I thought of cloning green over that brown spot and may try to do it some day , but I wanted to preserve his whiskers and fur and working with selecting hairs or whiskers is always tricky for me and I have to review it. If only he had stayed there a little longer so I could get a 3/4 shot with no brown merging with his face, but when I got closer to get that 3/4 shot he scooted down the post. Thus, I have some shots of a gray blur moving down the post |

Lovely pink flower I think I would prefer the original cropped in as you did with your chosen image. However I find that the Topaz filter you used makes the center of the rose and front petals look more blurry and thus does not work for me. I think your original with more sharpening would be better. I did that, but a bit over sharpened. I also cloned out some brown spots and white spots on the upper left |

I like this one the best. You have the balanced effect I wanted without the orange gold or the empty space I had left |

Good capture of the two Great Blue Herons in action. I would crop just to the left of the left bird to put them more off center. Also a little more off the bottom. There is less detail in the birds bodies than I would prefer. I would select their eyes and make them sharper. |

I prefer your original composition The crop does not have enough space on bottom for my taste
You could crop a little lower to eliminate some of the orange behind the reeds leaving more reed height, but I would prefer to clone out most of the orange color leaving the space and tall reeds of your original to balance the height of the tree ( see quickly done example) |

A nice sharp grunge image. This is my type of image with lots of texture, rust and decay! My only suggestion would be to have more space on the right side of the green pipe You could add canvas and use Content aware fill or cloning with this shot. Or, if possible, retake it with more room to the right
What filter did you use in On1? |

An interesting image. I think it appears tilted to the left a bit. I would like to see the girl sharper and the background more blurred since now it seems to me a bit busy and like two pictures, the group of people and the girl
I actually think your original shows more of your idea of the gathering place since the girl is not so much the center of interest as she is in the crop However the blurred foggy edge of the greenery is distracting. I straightened the image a bit and cut out the foggy bits by cloning the greenery just to give an idea of what I mean. Why is the edge of the greenery foggy looking? Is it lens flare? |

A clever idea . Nice sharp image.
One thing you could do would be to put a gray wall the color of the water behind the image especially on the right to outline the right bird's head and make it show up better as it does in your original I did a quick one It would be better with lines to show it is a wall |

I like how the tree and the reeds show up in this image. How did you reverse the brightness? I usually dislike infrared images, but this "mimic" I like.
The tree especially the top, resembles a lung X-ray of the bronchial tree. That is what it is called "the bronchial tree"
The orange color behind the reeds bothered me at first, but with time I decided it sets off the reeds |
