A nice sharp capture. I like the abstract nature of this image It makes me think of George Seurat's A Sunday on La Grande Jatte
The green moss on the tree makes a nice contrast to the delicately colored cherry blossoms. |

A nice sharp capture. You were trying to contrast the new door with the ruined facade and succeeded with this symmetrical image.
I agree with Robert in straightening the image.
I love images of rot and ruin. I think there are many interesting images in this one image which might have even more impact. I have attached one possibility where I cropped just to the left of the door and cropped out part of the stoop |

A nice moody capture of the restaurant. I do not think the silhouette of the bartender adds to the image and would crop from the right eliminating the bartender and the yellow light above him. I would leave the left side in since I like the contrast of the dark interior with the window, however I would selectively decrease the brightness of the menu on the left a little, perhaps with Viveza 2.
I do not think the lightened HDR image conveys the same dark moody ambience of your original. |

Beautiful capture of the beautiful lighting and feathers on these egrets. Not seeing the full beak on the left is a slight drawback to perfection in this image |

Excellent composition and capture of action. The front seal is a bit soft so perhaps a little selective sharpening
would correct this. I agree with Jon in preferring your presented image over the HDR |

As Robert said a very interesting house. The house is a bit soft and the background too clear for me.
I do not think it is enough to just crop a digital picture. I have been taught and find that digital images should be thought of as negatives and need to be developed in an image editor and then sharpened, just as people used to do with film. Especially if you shoot in RAW this is needed. If you shoot in jpeg the camera makes some decisions instead of you, but you can still correct things in an image editor.
I would blur the background houses What was the lens size from 18-200 and what speed and aperture did you use? As you know a larger aperture and/or more telephoto lens would have blurred the background more. I also would decrease the saturation in the sky since although beautiful it looks unreal I attempted to do a quick selection and have attached my changes
By the way where is this Japanese house and old village?
