I'm glad you liked the crop. I am also a child of the 40's and 50's. However, cropping in photography seems to be an exception to my difficulty in throwing things out. |

I too like the image in mono Beautiful blossoms Even though I usually like crops here I liked your left leaves I felt the white lines in the vase detracted so I cloned them out and put a stroke around the image |

I agree with Dorinda good attempt at rescuing the image I like the new colors However the original and the worked on image both lack a focal point Also your selection has edges which look like a selection I cropped the original selected part of the red foliage and blurred the background and added a stroke My selection should be better also A selection should look like it isn't there |

I think the fluorescent lights on the sculpture are too bright. In my rendition I decreased their brightness by decreasing highlights in LR
At my camera club the board always says "The sculpture is someone else's work" I say buildings, streetlights, cars and bicycles, etc. are someone else's work too.
However, since you have added something by adding the light beams you have made this your own creative image of the sculpture.Perhaps going even more creative with Topaz Texture would work ( see my attempt) I like the juxtaposition of a modern sculpture against the medieval walls |

Thank you for your kind comments and suggestions.
I will work on this to increase the contrast as Robert suggests since I like the deep black shadows he achieved |

Pretty cherry blossoms I think that having lamp sharp with a greater depth of field would work better The blurry blossoms detract |

Good capture of the lacrosse action Good shallow depth of field with background nicely blurred
However it seems a little busy. Unfortunately left player almost blends into white tent behind him and player on extreme left is a little distracting If you had been positioned more to the left these issues may have been solved |

A good composition and capture of the egret in action Interesting reflection.
Unfortunately only his neck feathers and the water splash seem sharp The eye does not seem sharp.
