Unfortunately the nautical supply house is closing on Feb 28,2018. I only have one day next week I can go so I may not be able to reshoot. |

Thank you for your suggestions I agree with your crop Dorinda. Interesting note from Robert about the meaning of two latches on the chest.
I tried to crop to the latch, but it is too pixelated I will try to visit the nautical supply house again during the cooler weather and retake it close up if it has not been sold.
The day we went was too hot, but I got a lot of interesting images |

Now that I look again I think there needs to be a bit more space in front of the duck in my 2/10/18 crop. |

I prefer the sharper image and cropped as the 2/8/18 version since there is a distracting shadow ? a leaf on upper right.I somehow did not notice the orange and yellow brown stains before and would clone them out. For me the foreground is too soft in the softer 2/10/18 version. |

There is also a small orange spot on the lily second from bottom right which spot healing brush in PS would remove |

I like the abstract capture of the blue and white snow I prefer your 2/8/18 crop. Maybe a tad less sharpening would be interesting to see |

A nice sharp capture of the duck I like the molten feel of the water also.I agree with Dorinda's suggested cropping since it feels like too much negative space for me
I used LR and Nik with control point on eye after flip horizontal I cropped so eye was in upper rt rule of thirds point I also tipped the duck up a little during crop |

Lovely capture of the beautifully colored Calla Lilies. I also usually like sharpness but it did not bother me either. However, many judges at camera clubs and online contests seem to want at least one area that is sharp unless there is a total blur.
I would clone out the bright area upper left maybe with the beautiful blue from the right. |

Nice moody capture of the foggy sunset.
Since the sun is the main subject to me I brought it into LR and Nik and I cropped to where the sun is no longer centered but on the left upper rule of thirds area.
I also opened the shadows and sharpened the foreground with Nik output sharpener with control points only on the very front area.
I thought it could relay the idea that the fog could be in the distance and not yet to the foreground I added a 2 pixel off white stroke. |

Wonderful sharp capture of the buffalo.
I find almost all my RAW capture digital photographs benefit from some postprocessing Images from the camera are soft and software should be looked upon as equivalent to the old fashioned darkroom.
Capturing in jpeg has the camera make decisions and limits future edits such as correcting for errors like white balance choice.
I brought your buffalo image into LR and sharpened it I think it pops even more I did not think the background buffalo looked right ,for me it was too close to the front buffalo's nose and I removed it with the patch tool.
I agree with Jon that a different sky might also be a choice.
