I agree with Gary's comment. The crop is a bit too tight. Perhaps if you expand the crop, and shift the tree to the left third of the image it would have that much more impact.
Otherwise I love the color treatment and contrasts. Nice work in post. |

Nice B&W image. But it looks like your focus point was a bit too deep. If you have adjusted your field of focus a bit shorter and closer to the top of the cactus I think the impact would be enhanced. |

I love the faint hint of mist (not sure if that was intentional or not). It gives the image an almost ethereal and haunting look. It adds to the concept of past heroes and their memories.
If the effect was intentional I'd love to hear how it was acheived. |
