Hi Andrea, I agree with Ginny and Dan about the distractions. Try cropping off the bottom half and the top left that is white of the photo. Very nice photo. Dan |

Hi Julie, Bugs are a lot of fun and abundant. If you could have gotten closer and shown more of the insects head I think this would help.I do not use flash except a couple of times for macro photography and I did not care for it. Google macrophotography flash and you will get a lot of information on how to use it. When I go out to photograph insects I use a monopod or a tripod. The tripod I will use it like a monopod and keep the legs folded in, but when I do get a real cooperative subject I will unfold the legs and use it as a tripod. After I get the shoot I want and have time I will vary my camera settings, shutter speed, Iso and F stop. Sometimes you will be surprise yourself how well the photo will turn out. Bugs are fun. Dan |

Hi Dan, Great Photo, nice, clean and sharp with out distractions. I was thinking about purchasing Topaz sharpen and noise reduction and was wardering if it is worth the investment? Thank you Dan |

Hi Ginny, I like your babies they are always fun. It is hard to photograph them eye level, you achieve this. We all have problems isolating the subject from the rest of the background. I don't know what mm of the lens you used, but if you could have zoomed in on the heads and did a portrait of this and you could have could have eliminated some of the background. Very nice photo.
