Thanks a lot Mo for your comment. I agree with you: you have to be there, you have to see it, and then you have to be able to photograph it. |

A successful image. The format shows that the main actor is the tree. Its surroundings are imposing. The creek is impressive with the contrasting stones and the wall behind it, the water with the shutter speed 1/40 sec. nicely detailed. The background with its steep flank shows that the creek brings a lot of water during precipitation, which means stress for the tree. I also like the colors.
What makes the image stand out is the title. This emotionalizes the image so that the viewer looks at the tree as a symbol of difficult situations. What I have often thought about is that most plants are immobile and have to make the best of their situation (where the seed falls). This can create very impressive situations.
A successful image with a strong title. |

A nice composition, which also looks interesting in monochrome mode. From my point of view it could be optimized: As already mentioned by Paul, the shadows are too dark. In the original image you can see that here the information is there. In addition, the sky is too bright. You can see this in the cloud band in the background, which has a nice shape in the color mode on the left, but loses the shape in the monochrome mode.
For me, I develop the same image differently on different days. It is interesting to make such series to observe the influence of the day's form. |

A beautiful picture. I especially like the colored horizon, which is reflected on the sea surface and the choice of shutter speed, which softly represents the flow of water. My eye is always drawn to the rocky hole, which has formed the textures of its edges in years of water runoff. A beautiful image of nature, which, unlike us, has endless time. |

Thank you Paul for your precise observation and fine comment. I appreciate this very much.
With pleasure I have implemented your suggestion in the attached image . This puts the focus more on the mountains and at the same time the cloud band above comes into its own - I find this version excellent - thank you very much.
