This is very nice, great tones in the background and foreground islet. That bent stick has me imaging a number of possibilities.
How far up the St. John's did you travel? Did you get around the bend at the former Cowford, now called Jacksonville? |

This looks like a post card from the thirties!
I really like the leading line/path that carries the viewer deep into the photo.
I tend to like drama in my IR skies so I would have tweaked its structure and contrast.

The "new" door on the left is not consistent with rest of the image. How about cropping the image to the post edges and then decide if the Mobil should remain? |

It is odd but the thing I like best in this is the single leaf off to the left of the fern. |

When you start with really good composition, like this, many things are possible.
I like the colour version but I tend to the mono chrome due to the structure in the wall, the roof, the weeds.
I might try a duo-tone with the monochrome and the lavender flowers.

This is crazy gorgeous!
I really like how you reduced the background to an edges sketch.
The red splashes add so much more. Well done. |

The changes to the stones make me think it is stream flowing through the arch. Very pretty. |

Shooting with a 400mm lens at close range does not provide much DOF. But I also added a bit of blur to the back set of legs since he is the "loser"
