Through lots of experimenting, read failures, I have learned to adjust my exposures for moving water by how fast the water is moving, or how far it is dropping. I think your 1/2 second exposure gives a lovely mist which then contrasts well with the firmness of the stone hut. I can see why people have been visiting this spot for hundreds of years!

The shadow on left of the cliff is way too dark, it needs a little detail. |

I can see why Deb thought it might have been from Florida. The faded pastels have that "Old Florida postcard" look.
The dappled shade across the stairs gently carries the view from the street into the foyer. Then the vertical windows lift the view to the top. Excellent composition. |

the sky is the same as the original. As I processed the image it became more visible and so I devoted a lot of adjustments to it: darken it and increase contrast etc.

Thank you for your kind comments. The blown out bits do have some tone in the larger version that got lost reducing it to a JPEG.
That is a tough tree. It is a live oak, the same kind of wood they used to built the frigate USS Constitution, "Old Ironsides", in 1797 and it remains the oldest ship in the US Navy. Very tough wood.

DAP wanted more red in those wooden pieces, I had to back off the red saturation and even now it looks a little too purple.
Some times when I layer a couple of the DAP images the blend creates some strange shades. |

This is sooo nice. Your brush work gives the cases that worn look you expect from old luggage.
Well done. |

Gerhard, you are having a great time with these elephants! Reducing the background really focuses the viewer on the elephants.
What I really want to know is, DID the baby get out???

I like the accent lines DAP inserts in these Watercolor images. Otherwise the the figures can be a little too soft overall. On some other images I have added additional lines and on others I have removed some. Play it as it goes.
