No, have not tried faux colour. I had converted the multiple layers to monochrome before stacking. Maybe a task to redress next winter.

Actually it was a wonderful place. Surrounded by these ancient living giants, dim and so very quiet.
The effect I was striving for was to show the dappling of the sunlight filtering down from above. Had to make the trees dark to enhance the contrast with the weak light from the cloudy sky above.

Maybe not the right side, but at least the left. |

It now appears much more blurry, not sharp. |

So if I understand, you photographed this in infrared, thus eschewing most of the native colour and then introduce faux colour via Photoshop. Interesting arc.
Speaking of arcs, IMHO cropping both sides off, to leave the arch and the vertical stump, would make a stronger composition. |

Lovely scene that carries my view across the pond and beyond.
Image is a bit noisy. |

I think having the trees in front of the church seems to give it a more organic appearance. Really like the sepia. |

This is really nice, I like the touch of glow.
I guess the only thing I might suggest is a bit more sky. |

I really like the original but cudos for working on the charcoal interpetation.
My only complaint is the distant F-hole is overdrawn. |

I likr the texture of the background, really makes the bird/plant stand out.

This looks much better without him!
The painterly changes you made to most of the image are not the same as her face so it kind of sticks out. Yes I realize that is the most important part but some slight adjustment to the face might help tie it in with the rest of the scene. |

I love the opalescent effect, makes this look like a piece of jewellery.
I disagree with Gerhard, I would not remove those blossoms. |
