I wonder how those light areas look in the full size image as vs the JPEG. You can lose a lot of detail when reducing the image to a size you can post. |

Bananas under a tropical moon! Can feel the humid heat and hear the night creatures calling. Well done.
I think your crop is spot on but shame you had to lose that cute bridge. Time for another walk!

What an inviting spot. Nice composition.
Did you try darkening the grass under the table/chimney and the foreground bed? I think that might bring out a bit more texture in those areas. Also the top of the bush behind the chimney and the leaves to the right of the chair are a bit blown out. |

Great exploration. Some wonderful textures in this hidden space.
Have you tried focus stacking to increase the DOF?

While the title says windmill, most of the image is grasses. Now I like the lovely detail in those faux colour grasses but a bit of crop off the bottom might give the image more balance with the windmill.
Or on the flip side if you crop off the top and have only the grasses it is still interesting with the dark swath through the gold.
Speaking of gold, you have found some golden spots in Norfolk! |

Very nice.
The bridge siding is a rather large plain area. Did you try to layer a bit of texture over that?

Actually I have not showed this to Jaime. I will do that and tell her your comment. |

I think I would clone them out and that way keep as much dark water to balance the white grasses. |

Such a powerful image, very well done. And pulling the tree line in gives depth to what is a fairly flat original. Nice touch.
I would try to soften the edges of the wolf's legs so they blend a bit more with the background. |

Your sketching is getting better and better! This is a really neat image. But I have to admit that when I first viewed this I thought the lifted foot of the adult was a strange projection. But as I looked closer and realized that the foot gives this image a lot of dynamic. Things are moving and that shows it.
The slight texture in the background works very well with the elephants skin.
Keep it up, you are developing a very good style. |

This is sooo charcoal! Very well done. I will have to check out this program.
I do have one question and that is the vertical dark bar behind the frame. Does that need to be there?

Alone now, but the mist holds such potential and a boat makes you free. |

Yes, I like the feeling of isolation of the lone boat against the unknown behind the grey mist.
I'm thinking I should crop the right side a bit more, to remove the dark bush. That would shift the emphasis to the grey even more. |
