This is actually a nice place, the image is just my take on this particular dark room.
I took this on the Sunday add-on tour to the Pawley's Island IR workshop. This is at "The Castle" which had been some rich people's winter home back in the 30's and is now a state park. A lot of interesting rooms and a central courtyard. All the rooms are barred since it was unoccupied half the year and at that time was remote from any towns.

This is a really great shot and I agree the Manor house looks appropriate snuggled in the trees.
It looks like you shot this with 665nm filtration. Did you try it in faux colour?

One of my favorite Yousef Karsh images is a portrait done with only illumination through a window.
Shooting from an off angle and the tall windows produced a fair amount of perspective distortion. But yeah, this could do with a bit of lens adjustment. I see an opportunity to make things look real weird! That would be a first :)

A lot of the colours were already in the stones, but the overcast lighting had muted everything. Just had to coax them to come out and play. |

One of the templates I used produces a rougher texture and I used that to give the impression of a chalk drawing.

The drift wood reminds me of a foxes profile so I thought the russet colours were appropriate.

This is a great composite, with very good isolations.
I really like everything in here.
It is very interesting how the software found that pattern in the black skirt.
Well done!

Oh, I see what you mean! Yes, the crop I suggested would leave a hand and a foot with the head but the head would be the most important element and I think most of us would not notice the foot is not a hand. It is something like when I don't know my right from my left. :)

This is adorable!
What if you cropped off the legs and centered on only the head and hands? |

This is a great picture. I think you have achieved a good charcoal effect. I love how you have accentuated the wrinkles! Well done.
The only minor recommendations would be a bit more detail in the tip of the tail and the front ankle, just to fill the gaps. |
