Taking bird shots takes a lot of time and patience. You have to hide and wait. The birds should take up most of the space in the photo and it is best to get the eyes showing. |

I love all the textures in this image. I agree that he is too centered. His head should be where the line of thirds crosses. |

Beautiful dragonfly! I love the colors of the dragonfly against the pink and yellow flowers. The out of focus flower in the background is a distraction, but it would take a lot of cloning to get rid of it.

I also agree that zooming in would improve the image. The out of focus background is too much background.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, chickens are interesting birds
with personalities. My neighbor has fifty-two chickens of all types. They are really pretty. She lets them free range, but a bobcat ate some. |
