67 Jun 19 Reply Thank you for that feedback Larry. I went back to really look at the photo and see what you mentioned. I was hoping that at f/13 I would actually have a bit more of a sharper image, and one thing I recently learned especially with the Tamron 150-600 is that f/8-f/11 is the "sweet spot" for this lens. I was shooting handheld and also wanted to ensure I didnt' have too much camera shake even with the VC on for image stablization. I truly appreciate the feedback.

I live 25 min from one of our State Parks which is the largest nesting sight in Colorado for Bald Eagles, so I get to go out and shoot anytime. About 35 mating pairs of eagles.

67 Jun 19 Comment Very subtle capture Cheryl. Reviewing the original, I could see this offset to the left a bit more with more of the leaves from the right to add a little extra to the depth. One thing I find, especially shooting through windows is the distortion from the glass and have had this happen a few times while doing the same thing. I wonder if a little increased contrast or decrased exposure would help darken the background a bit allowing the bird to come out a bit more. Beautiful bird for sure! Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Comment Madhu this is beautifully captured and perfectly posed. I really find the cropping an added plus as the from the original the leaves, and extended branches take a lot away from it. The Mud wall is the icing on the cake with tone, color and light. The detail of the Bush-Chat appears crips and has very nice texture of the feathers. You have captured the eye with the reflection very well. Looking forward to others. Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Comment A very interesting pose for sure. Colors are well represented and I feel the bird is isolated well and agree with others regarding the feathers. Cropping is tight, although wonder if you opened it up a bit to include a little bit of the background. Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Comment Stunning capture Larry. The Smoky's are on my bucket list. I really like the B&W version as it seems to enhance the clouds and gives a lot of detail to the valley with the diagonal lines. The sun beams seem a little more detailed than in the colored version. Beautiful landscape shot. Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Reply Part of Uncle Tom's Trail Wayne. The platform is good size and you always have a chance of capturing a rainbow from there. We did this about 3 years ago when we were there. It's my reason to keep returning. Enjoy! Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Comment Striking detail Wayne. It can be difficult to capture these so close without the fear of them jumping off. The colors in the petals are brilliant. The Katylid appears a bit too translucent to me, almost like a light shining from above. You definitely captured the detail in the thorax, legs and eyes. As others have mentioned, the background appears a bit whitewashed and takes my eye away from the foreground. I am looking forward to more brilliant shots. Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Comment This is a first for me with the Anole. With the slight offset to the left and not centered helps me see that it is possibly moving left to right. As others have described, the mosquito is hard to see and added touch. I am wondering if dropping the ISO to 3200, opening to f/6, and decreasing the shutter to 1/250 or even 1/200 would have allowed you to capture a little more light. I too struggle with high ISO unless shooting birds in flight with a high shutter speed. Cropping the right side as Larry mentioned may allow for a bit more detail on the Anole since the space utilizes a lot more pixels. Great shot overall! Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Reply Hi Cheryl, Thank you for the warm welcome. Looking forward to sharing my passion and gaining further knowledge as well. Glad to be a part of this group. Jun 17th
67 Jun 19 Reply Thank you Michael. I am looking forward to the group, discussions, and feedback, in order to develop as a better photographer. I'll work on adding some of my reviews as well. Jun 17th
