Thank you so much Jennifer for your suggestions. I absolutely will use them in future floral photographs. I have used Lightroom for years but get into a rut and am a little behind the times with some of the features. It is challenging but exciting especially when I discover new ways to do some edits. |

Jennifer,
Personally, I think two in this case is perfect. Three might be too many. I don't think you have the subject too tight in the frame. I am wondering if it could be a little tighter. The curve in the neck of the crane in the back in relationship to the crane in the front is fascinating! The straw -- the only part that seems a bit overdone on my screen is where the straw meets the water and becomes blurry.
Having lived in Florida for a number of years where the Sandhill Cranes were plentiful I so appreciate your ability to capture ---Those eyes - I love it! |

Tom: I wish I did have a shot without a second out of focus blossom in it. I will take a second look. Thanks so much for the tip. I will definitely put that on my reminder sheet! |

Michael, I think your last sentence about pre-shoot analysis is spot on. I don't know whether it is my monitor or the photos but, they appear blurry to me. I really liked the feeling that you captured of the venue and the artist that you focused on. |

Your description of the Corvette show sounds exciting especially, for me, when you have it in botanical gardens. The car looks spectacular. I am a bit distracted by the two palm trees, the one on the right that is cutoff and the one in the back center of the photo. I give you an A for effort because while the venue is terrific it is a challenge... |

Lynne -- thanks for your critique. I couldn't agree with you more. Truth be told on one of my edits before I submitted this final one I did take the spots out. I obviously put the wrong edit in ... I am going to try and see if I can't address the other issues in this photo. |

Tom: The monochrome was definitely the way to go. I think you captured the strength and beauty of the engine by changing to monochrome! |

Stephen: I agree with Larry! The only thing that I would change is the Title. I would call it "Woo" or "Elegant Woo" because that is what caught my eyes. |

Stephen -- Yes, that is what you see. I agree, I don't care for it either. Gloria |
