Thank you for your input. I agree the edges are much clearer. Is there a way of keeping the clean edges, without the rest of the flower getting darker. I have not played with it myself.

Great job, especially since you say you are a beginner. I like the simple adjustments that Jim did, just enhancing an already good image. Love the light. |

I like that you are experimenting and being creative. I do agree with the comments about the statue being too strong. I wonder how adding more dancers in different poses and intensity may work for a more cohesive feel. They are interesting and a simple filter has changed them into something entirely different. You did well with adding shadows to make it more real. |

I wonder if a higher shutter speed would give a crisper photo. If you suspect the lense may be the issue, there are some printouts you can download with instructions to test the accuracy of the focus. I did an edit to give a different look to your image. I loved the feel of it, the mood and the muted tones. I did a different crop, flipped the bird, literally, to have it facing into the image, moved the clump of grass for a diagonal element and sharpened.I then selected a light gray from the image and painted it over the water and the brown grass reflections at the top. It is a bit down and dirty as the downloaded image was pixelated. I wanted to enhance that moody, isolated minimalistic feel. |

I agree with Laura about the strip of water at the bottom. The rest of the image is stunning, full of frenetic energy and the richness of afternoon light on a wild environment. Love it |

Its really not so hard. All elements were photographed in a light box to get the clean white background and then the background erased with the background remover tool to give each individual piece and then just layered onto the image of the vase.
