24 Feb 20 Reply I selected with the lasso and then just applied adjustments directly to the selection. It was a quick job. If I were doing it for real I would use different adjustment layers on the selection so that I could adjust delete or shift the opacity of each layer to get it perfect. Feb 29th
24 Feb 20 Reply Donna, I was not at all offended by your changes and suggestions, and I don't think that in this setting it is wrong. We put our work out there for suggestions and I do value others' input.

24 Feb 20 Comment Thanks for the comments. It is interesting to hear different points of view, and the things I most wanted to include were what you all would remove. This part of Australia is all about big skies, wide open spaces and the feeling of smallness you get out there. I felt the inclusion of all that sky gave that feeling but also the oppressive feel of a sky filled with smoke.Thank you all for the comments. Not a fan of the white vignette, no offence intended, just my opinion. To capture billowing smoke as you would have seen on news reports, we would have had to be in the fire zones, and that just isn't a smart thing to do. Feb 24th
24 Feb 20 Comment The symmetry works really well, though you'd think they would have made the stairs directly in line with the centre of the building. I like the colour tones, and the bright light does not bother me, but I agree, a tone down would make it a little less eye catching. A slightly earlier time of the day would perhaps have given you a bit more detail in the dark areas, as well as the interesting sky you have here. There appears to be a halo around parts of the skyline, probably from alterations to the sky. Well done Sam. Feb 24th
24 Feb 20 Comment I quite like the very shallow depth as it makes a feature of the droplets and the lovley reflections rather than the whole flower. There is so much room to experiment with all types of combinations of depth of field, and focal length to create very different images. Feb 24th
24 Feb 20 Comment I like the lines and geometric shapes of this image, and the soft colours contrasted with the pop of pink. I too had a play, cropping the right side to eliminate the blue flare and the light patch of sky, and the bottom for a cleaner look and remove the more grainy section. I also had a play with the orange flare, selecting the area and then adjusting saturation, brightness and contrast and white balance to tone it down. I also did a little burning. Feb 24th
