62 Nov 19 Comment Hi Israel - I've been savouring this image since I first saw it. The tonal values are really beautiful. Perfect timing with the swing of the incense and the priest's face - the window - the detail on his clothes - wonderful.

Would have been great to have a little more room to the left of him, but realise that room constraints often don't allow that. I also wonder if the vertical lines in the window and background are straight - might be my dodgy eyes? I love it anyway - beautiful job. And I agree it works in colour and black and white equally.

62 Nov 19 Comment Hi Bob - that looks like a cold day for shooting! My personal preference is for the third shot because it is dramatic and exciting with the exploding wave and angry sea behind. The sky is also more dramatic and there is foreground detail for interest too. Being a sea lover, I have to say that the black and white doesn't capture the beauty of the light and dark green colours you captured in the wave though - they are really gorgeous in original shot - however I do realise that probably wasn't the purpose of your shot. 62 Nov 19 Comment Hi Gary - I like your description and philosophy. You captured what you wanted, and edited it so it makes sense to you - good for you. It sometimes occurs to me too that we are each living on a different planet in some ways - our lives can be so different from each others. Nov 11th
62 Nov 19 Comment Hi Lu Ann - great environmental portrait. This is an older woman, still living in a rural environment. I am interested in her story. Her dog is her companion and keeping an eye out for her as if he heard something she didn't. I like this image very much. I do wonder if it would look better with her face toned down a little too as seems a tiny bit bright. The wire leads me in and gives context - I like it, it belongs there. Nov 11th
62 Nov 19 Comment Oliver I took my own opinion before looking at the others and I actually didn't notice the blob, or the indicator. When I look at the blob to me it looks like some lining or something that is falling down - it doesn't look wrong, let me put it that way. The indictor, as I said I didn't see it until someone pointed it out. What I did see what tremendous detail and clarify (not overdone), with great charm. The shadows are wonderful, the broken glass - wow! Its just cool. Great work. Nov 11th
62 Nov 19 Comment Yes that's miles better Oliver. Thank you. Nov 1st
