The darkness does give it a much stronger emotional impact compared to a lighter version. The lines of the street and the building are pleasing and the sky is much better in B&W than in the color version. I would like tø see some of the people who live there in the image.
Well done. |

A very interesting view of the London Eye. I have seen images of it before, but always in color, always taken from the land or air. Your B&W version makes the image seem timeless or at least makes it hard to tell if it's now or a hundred years ago. The clouds help. The image is very sharp, especially since you took it from a boat. Was it operating? I don't see any people. |

This is well composed with the river pulling the viewer's eye through to the center. The tones are very nice and it does look like a winter scene to me. I'm not a big fan of IR but this one is good. |

Thanks, Paul. I did not notice 'the blob' before but once you pointed it out it seemed so obvious and so annoying. I removed it in this revision with the clone stamp in PS. You have a great eye for images and I appreciate your comments. |

The composition is excellent and the image is technically very good. When I look at this picture I see young people carrying large sacks of something (grass?) - but I can't tell if they are happy or sad. Of course, you have provided that information, but I think a great image should create the mood by itself. The easiest way might be to show their faces, their moods.
One little nit-picking item - I always prefer that the action goes from left to right. I flipped your image horizontally. What do you think? |

The composition is very strong and there is a definite feeling of motion - the 2 leading birds seem to be moving their wings while the 2 in the back are just gliding. The high contrast works well here - you could try even more contrast or "amplify whites" in SEP3 to see if you could get a more "high key" image. But it's a great image as it is. |
