This is great. The B&W is definitely better - it creates mood and mystery. The woman has a certain European, sophisticated look, but I can't decide if I like the pose or if she just looks good anyway. Technically the image is fine. When I look to the left of the woman my eye is drawn up the stairs (which are beautiful) away from the woman. I feel conflicted - should I look at the woman or the stairway? Both are gorgeous. Maybe next time try putting her on the stairs. |

Thanks, Jerry. There was a fog bank offshore that made it hard to see the true horizon. And the trees don't necessarily grow to a true vertical due to all the wind. When I opened the file in Camera Raw I checked the profile correction box (in Optics) and then I checked the 'Auto' box for the geometry correction but the program said nothing was needed. No matter what I did manually something looked wrong. I finally decided that I wanted the tallest plant in the foreground to look vertical. But I agree that overall it looks like the horizon is not level. |

Thanks. To be honest, I didn't put much work into the sky - I was focused on the rocks and water. I'll work on the sky next.

This is a real eye-catcher! The light is beautiful, the background is great, and the composition is good. My concern is that the bird's foot is sharper than his eye, and the vertical support is sharper than his feathers. Did you shoot with autofocus?

Great composition with the S-shaped leading line of the glacier. The near cloud is beautiful and has that wonderful soft look. The contrast is low but I like it - like an older (film) print. It does look like the dark mountain ridge on the left has a bit of halo on the edge. I'd love to see that view myself! |

Very nice image! The focus is sharp throughout and the water has a wonderful ephemeral look. This composition is good, but next time I would like to see more of the falls.
Did you take this handheld? It seems like a lot of editing (work) to go through all the steps you did - is it always necessary?
I'm seriously thinking about getting an iPhone 12 pro max. |
