Wow! This seems like a good attempt at the impossible - to get a great image when there is so much detail and so much variation in the light. The overall effect of the image is wonderful and makes me want to get a magnifying glass and inspect every nook and cranny. Great job. |

Having lived in rural New Mexico for years, I have seen and taken many similar images. Your B&W is a definite improvement over the color version, especially in the sky. There is a lot of emotional impact here, and I wondered if it would be possible to get even more, so I made an image where I increased the contrast and decreased the brightness. It's just a matter of taste - no right or wrong. |

This is a very good attempt at showing a well-known place in a different way. I like the long exposure as it gives a feeling of motion. The trees seem a little out of focus but that is expected and OK, but the image would be stronger if the rock in the foreground were sharper. The light and tones are excellent. |

The composition is great and I love the overall emotional impact that the image makes. For some reason, I find the divergence of the shadows from the second and third trees (from the left) upsetting - as if they were taken at different times. Given the strong shadows, the light on the front of the building is wonderful and I really like the look of the trees and bushes. |

My first impression of this image was: what is that? - is it biological or just sand? It is a beautiful image, full of mystery. If that is your intent I would say you definitely achieved it. The square frame helps to take it out of the 'landscape' genre.
Well done. |

Thanks. I agree and will work on the horizon and the spots. |

Unfortunately, the road is very narrow and the forest is very steep so there is no way to really move and change my point of view. I did try. |

Wonderful image! The light in the lighthouse, the horizontal flag, and the sunlight in the sky all combine to give the image a strong emotional impact. I wouldn't change anything. |
