The square format works well, as does the tint. The tones are excellent and the people are well lit, although both the men's faces are shaded by their helmet and hat. The models seem too happy to me - I was in Belgium a few years back on Armistice Day and no one looked happy; not in old pictures or in real life.

Very interesting how a simple image of a chair can cause me to feel such tension and unrest. I want to reach in and move the furniture on the right out of the image.
The tones and brightness are great, and the tint works well.

The strong lines really pull the viewer in. The contrast and tones are wonderful, as is the light. The image does tell a story. For me, I would like to see something alive in this image - a bird, a butterfly, a person.
Strong work! |

Very interesting image! I definitely like the figure in the picture, but my eye first goes to the door, and I wonder if you might place him further in, towards the door.
And cropping on the left side to get rid of the blank in the left lower corner and cropping on the bottom might draw the viewer more into the image. If possible you could add more on the right side. Overall the image is sharp, except for the man.

The image is well composed and the light on the barn is beautiful. I would try moving the barn a little off-center to the left and try increasing the contrast in the mountains and the clouds.
Well done! |
