I see the doll better in the before picture. I am just learning PS, but would try to dodge the doll. This is also a great opportunity to try some filters to see what kind of effect you can get. Well seen. |

Really nice composition. I do like the crop Andrew made because the rock on the right is softer. I think people expect to see the sun streaming in at the top. Is there a way to warm it up? |

I really like the color version. The sky, clouds and reflections are more powerful for me. I feel like the subject is the reflections. |

Really great sharp depth of feild. The contrasting colors and really lovely. My eye keeps looking at the drooping flowers on the left. I might try cropping on the left even though you loose the hill in the background. |

Julie this is probably the best seagull shot I have seen. I like the intensity of the the overcast day and the action of the pose. There are some great suggestions above with the highlighting. Well done. |

This shot is spectacular. The lines lead you up and into and are not distracting. It is not busy - the color and patterns keep you searching the scene and I love the chandelier is the punctuation point. |

Thanks Andrew. I was excited to get feet out of the muddy water, but should have left more room. I was there awhile and it never moved! I have so many ideas from the comments to work on and look for in the future. I did buy a monopod and it does help. |

Thanks Julie. It his breeding plumage and usually they are in the muddy water and brown backgrounds here. I say some light and some green and went for it. I will try cropping some more. |

Thank you Mike for taking the time to comment on my photo. Honestly I did not even see the rock behind his tail feathers. Valuable less there ha ha. I have a lot to learn in PS and will take you suggestions about what I should be looking for in a background and the separation of the subject. Thanks again! |

Thank you Sharon for taking the time to comment on my photo. I like the idea of cropping more and I will try to blur the background a bit. Adding space to bottom is a great idea and I will have to learn a lot in PS! |
