I thought I liked this in colour but definitely better in Sepia (thanks James) so I started again, correcting verticals in RAW geometry and then a quick transform to straighten the rail (thanks Mitch).
I've also given it a bit more room as I tend to crop too tight and now have included the full doorway. I've kept the rail as it gives a bit more context, but more importantly I like it :)
Tidying up I've removed the paper edge on the right (thanks Jim it's gone from your image), more white blobs and leaves (thanks Brenda) and other small tweaks.

Welcome James
An excellent image after your editing, especially to remove the superfluous lights. If you have Photoshop as part of your package the removing of the cars would be simple with the more powerful clone tool.
I agree with Brenda and Sunil about the sky, and when sorted consider a bit more contrast to the whole image.
s for the lighting on the house you need to consider where you want the viewer's eye to settle, the bright house draws the eye up and right, away from the tower. If you take Brenda's suggestion on sharpening the tower be aware not to sharpen the reflection too or it will lose that softness in the water.

Great image Brenda, and not much I can suggest for improvement.
It's strange how you can use Zoo animals but not Feral ones in Nature comps, but that's rules for you. I also suggest if you want to use this in an Open comp, try to pick a Salon that doesn't have a Nature section or it might get dismissed as in the wrong section.

Great shot Mitch, when I was in Iceland it rained every day so I never saw this.
I agree with Brenda about the road on the right, it doesn't add anything so depending where you want to use this have you considered cloning some of the snowy area to remove it?
There is also a purple haze on the left from the town lights, you may be able to remove this in the RAW converter by playing with the sliders in the colour section

You've certainly made something out of nothing, the monochrome treatment really works for this image.
The crop off the left and right, and the bottom to make the kerb lead into the image, plus removal of the central signpost also work for me, great result.

I absolutely love this Jim, the choice of crop and use of differential focus really makes it work.
Where you have brought down the shoulder (totally agree with the idea of separation) there appear to be a black edge introduced which I'm sure you can remove again.
Is he looking at her or you? Maybe the title should be "still waiting" or "you're late" to go with the expression.
