Thanks all, I agree the background needs to be less important so some desaturation and blurring of the bricks will help. It was for a specific competition that has now passed and it made the commendations.

Hi Mitch, everything has been said already but not in one place for me. I like Jim's crop but prefer the colour version, and agree something else is needed near the bottom left third, maybe the infamous dog.

Hi Jason, I think Stephen nailed most of the comments, but the Pink road troubles me, especially as the Grey concrete is there, so maybe just tone the road down a bit?

Lovely image Helen.
Do you have more versions of this as I would have liked a bit more space between the left rear rock and the edge so it mirrors the front rock.
The water around the rock brings the interest level up a notch or two, but maybe if these was a bit more water or white bubbles in another shot they would highlight it even more.

Hi Sunil
Another great image, but I have to agree the boat does not make a strong enough impact for me. I do like Jim's crop as it keeps the waves, whereas you panorama doesn't have them and appears to be lot more peaceful, demonstrating how different views of the same image can evoke different emotions.

Absolutely fabulous expressions on their faces Jim, so a picture that just screamed to be taken. Superbly processed to keep the eyes firmly on kids, and bring a smile to the viewer.
I agree with the comments about lost legs, but it would be a huge effort to clone in the missing bits using one of the other kids legs.

Super image and nothing much to add, except I prefer more of the Cactus because it gives a sense of scale.
Of your many images of this scene was there one 1 or 2 wingbeats earlier? They may provide a bit more drama on final approach.
I got topaz AI for free as I had the others in the suite, but I've only used it once and was disappointed at the dumbing down of the controls, so I need to revisit it when time permits.
