Yes this was for a PSA Mono salon entry.
Interesting thoughts, I only have a couple of images for some reason (usually lots), and one is closer with an 8mm lens making a full circle. I agree with the cropping and will have to make some more sky.

Super shot and I love the way you have cropped this, it's no longer just a flower and bug but could be any sort of veined orifice with a monster coming out! I might now have nightmares 'cos I see and ear (small hairs support this).

Hi Jason
Lovely capture, and I agree with levelling the fence and some selective sharpening.
My guess for the Pink is garden furniture next door.

Hi Helen
Absolutely brilliant street shot of the 3 kids (wish I had taken it), and I agree with Jason that a bit more space on the right helps the composition. The background is distracting but you have suggestions here to deal with that.
I would keep the colour version as it really makes the kids stand out, and you could always desaturate the background a little as well as the other suggestions. I'd love to see this again when re-done.

Hi Sunil
I (being different) prefer the mono version, it becomes more about the texture and shape which is lost in the colour version which I find quite boring.
I agree with Helen about rotating the boat, and Jason about keeping the lily pads, but then selectively added contrast and sharpened the boat and contents (high pass), and then used different mono layers for the boat and the surrounds so as to emphasise the boat more.

Hi Jim
The revised image works better for me (still a bit too Orange), and keeping the couple on the left adds to the reading of the image. Brenda is right about the colouring on the couple, the light would not have been on their backs so a simple mask covering them would fix that.

Late again! most comments have been made, and yes I agree Sunil's mono version works well, and the background is not too dark, and I'm with Jason that the birds could be a bit brighter.
Sorry but... there's always one ... the image for me would have been 1 second earlier to allow separation between the birds. When I look at this as an 'impact' image (for salon entry) I can't see the birds, only when looking deeper the story becomes evident.
