Thanks both, I've cropped down the sky and cloned in some bush and tree to take away the lighter edge, then blurred the background a bit, thoughts? |

Definitely has a better feel now, well done. As you say trying to photograph nature is tough, I have spent many fruitless hours chasing bugs so resorted to models, they usually do as they are told, lol. |

Lovely image where the sky looks like a slower shutter speed than 1/800 to get the soft streaks and minimal people give it scale without distracting from the architectural content.
Jason seems to have covered most points, however I would crop even tighter on the right than he suggested to tidy up the edge.
Also for some reason I didn't like togs on the left so cloned them out to leave a single figure.

What an amazing close up for a shot taken without any pre-setup, and no stacking either I guess.
There are the distractions of the stem on the left which would need attention, and the petal just below the wing that I can live with. There is also a black something across the base of the eye that I don't believe belongs to the fly, but if this is just one of a series that you are building up to then the future definitely looks bright. |

I would bring up the shadows in the trees and make the bale a bit more punchy as this is the main subject of the image (Topaz AI Adjust HDR and micro clarity).
The moon needs more definition so either replace it with a better one or I copied the blue channel, masked off all but the moon and blended the layer luminosity.

Superb image, and very well processed from an original idea that I might have to steal! I love the choice of the cloud / heart / bird that the viewer has to interpret themselves.
I'm trying to find something to add but can only nit-pick on the picture frame not being straight, so have to be satisfied with just making it a bit more punchy (Topaz AI adjust) |

You have selected the important part of the image and created a super image all about texture, and whereas the common approach is to make it B&W I think the colours work well here.
Two comments, I don't think you need as much of the left wall, which also takes the door off-centre, and do you have one with the entire step showing, the bottom right looks a bit too tight in the frame (or clone a bit).

I too like the post processing, and the tree exactly where it is with the small branch on the right against the sky. Two small points from me, the 'puddle' on the left draws my eye, and the horizon is too central. With this crop the sun is almost on the thirds. |
