Salons are simply where any photographer (worldwide) can submit images to a central repository based on the categories in the salon, and they are assessed by a panel of usually 3 judges to get an overall score. The top images get medals, followed by ribbons, commendations or honourable mentions, then the top 20% or so get accepted. Each acceptance is worth 1 point if going for letters after your name. The biggest patron of salons (it means they set the rules to be followed) is FIAP, and then the PSA, and this was the PSA's own run salon. A list of all PSA approved salons is on the website. |

I think the silhouettes work well, love the warm orange colour, and agree with the comments about the flags, either make them obvious or get rid of them. My biggest comment is that this has no context, you have told us the story but the image doesn't say that in its own right. I think it needs a background of some sort to show it isn't just 2 images pasted together. |

I like the angle getting down low, and the post processing to make it horizontal. I agree with Brenda that the orange wall needs to go, and have you considered a square format? |

As a simple pattern picture it needs a bit more something, changing to b+w helps but think about using the corners to intersect with lines. I also tried adding a light layer and gradient to move from dark to light. |

Superb location, shame its too far away for me :( . I don't agree with Brenda on the car, its bright enough on my screen, maybe even a tad too bright! The other cars are a distraction and could be removed, this is a quick and dirty edit. |

Good job choosing a suitable sky and replacing it, definitely an improvement. The first 2 comments say what i would say, but I'll add that I like the richer/darker green from the original. |

I think you are right in saying you have made this shape you own and not just photographed another artist's work, and I like what you've done with it too. It's still quite surreal and I'm looking for what it says to me, I can see a figure dancing, the head and lower legs are in shade but the neck is there, as are the upper thighs, and arms outstretched. |
